Deacons are called to live godly lives as servants of Jesus Christ and as examples to the Church, keeping in mind the standards set forth in Scripture (1 Timothy 3:8-13). The role of deacons in the church is that of servant: they are called to attend to the needs of the church in a variety of ways so that the elders may be freed to shepherd the flock through prayer and the ministry of the Word (Acts 6:3-4). The deacons of Frontier Church eagerly seek to know the needs of the congregation as well as the community, and look for ways that the church can meet people at the point of their need. If you have a current need, or know of a need in the church or in the community that Frontier might be able to help with, be sure to get in touch with the deacons of the church! At this time Frontier is blessed with four deacons:

Jeremy Bruce
Jeremy and Krista have been active members of Frontier for the past few years. He enjoys using the mechanical skills God has blessed him with to serve the body of Christ

Rich Harris
Rich and Voni made Kodiak their home years ago, and the church has been blessed as they’ve made Frontier home as well. If the lights are on at the church, Rich is probably here.

Josh Davis
Josh and Anna grew up in Kodiak. They’ve been blessed with three beautiful girls — Solveig, Wynne, and Linnea. Josh’s love of people is a reflection of his love of Christ. He’s quick to serve, and always does so with a smile on his face. He’s also king of the dad joke. Classic.

Leon Ruotsalainen
Leon and Ingrid are lifelong Kodiak residents! If you ask Leon about his birthday, he’ll always ask which one, my first birth or the day I was born again? That’s what matters most to Leon — the day he was born again. And it’s what makes him such a great deacon.
